"We have been using lawn science for about 7 years now.  We do the lawn program annually as well as landscaping and mulching needs.  They also installed a beautiful patio with granite steps.  Our grass is the greenest in our neighborhood!  Their communication is excellent.  Always let you know when they’ll be arriving, work efficiently, and outcome is always beautiful.  Will continue to use for many years!"

Libby Binczewski

"I had the best experience from start to finish! Sage was the absolute best to work with. She listened and brought my vision to life. Her crew made sure I was happy with the placement of the plants before they moved forward and they did a beautiful job. Most definitely would recommend to anyone and will hire again for future projects."

Kelly Gagosz

"American Landscape and Lawn Science created a stone staircase in my yard recently, and want to share my good fortune.  Previously I had a few landscape companies provide ideas and quotes, but until I met Aaron, I wasn't impressed.  He has great vision and came back to reassure me he could make it work.  They showed up on time, everything was tidy during the job and immaculate when they left.  Honestly the results far exceeded my expectations, if you are thinking of doing landscaping at your home, please reach out to Aaron, Will and Sage and you won't be disappointed."

We Only Work With Amazing Vendors

At American Landscape and Lawn Science, we’ve had the privilege of developing relationships with some of the best vendors in Connecticut. They deliver on-time and as-promised - we take care of our vendors, which means you take care of you.

We Prioritize Native Plants

The majority of the plants we use are CT grown. That means your plants will be acclimated to the environment, so they’ll make it through the CT seasons.  Acclimated plants are more resistant to pests and are more friendly to our local Connecticut ecosystem.

We’ll Stay With You Until Your Lawn is Established

Have you ever had a landscape company install a new lawn and then disappear? We won’t leave you and your new lawn hanging. We offer a year-long follow-up program after your lawn installation that includes a 5-step organic based lawn care program.  A good follow-up program, along with proper maintenance will help your new lawn stay lush and healthy for many years to come.

Landscape - Local Connecticut Plants

Our experts know that beautiful Connecticut landscapes start with local plants.

Local Connecticut Plants

Don't Spend Another Season Wishing

Most Home Improvement experts agree that professional landscaping can increase the value of your home by as much as 7%, but the biggest benefit of investing in landscaping is loving the time you spend in your home!

Foundation plantings, walkways, and retaining walls enhance curb appeal. Patios, shade plantings, and other hardscape features help to enhance or create more outdoor living space. Hillside plantings can reduce the chance of injury from yard maintenance accidents and improve your home’s accessibility.

We want you to LOVE your home and enjoy it to the fullest.

Let’s start planning your dream landscape today so you can start enjoying it sooner! It’s an investment that will bring value and enjoyment for many seasons to come.

We’re excited to answer all of your landscaping questions when you call for your appointment or attend our first meeting, but for now, here are answers to some frequently asked questions.

We recommend scheduling your hardscape projects during the summer months - a window when it’s too hot for new plantings and not yet time for fall seasonal plantings.

In most cases, we like to get your plants new in the ground by June 15th so they have time to root up.

The best time of year for lawn installation is September through October.

Project prices vary depending on your property’s features, the materials selected, and the design. Foundation plantings start at $2,500, and sidewalks or walkways often start at the $3,000 mark. The good news is that we’re happy to provide you with a free quote AND hand-drawn sketch of your project.

Once your project is scheduled, it takes us on average two days to complete. Some jobs can be done in one day, and most larger projects are completed within one week.

With adequate lead time, we can often set our schedule to accommodate such a request. If you’re installing new plantings, just keep in mind that it takes up to 12 months for them to fill in.  Some of your plants will be small and will need some time to grow into their full splendor. That being said, your property will still be tidy and party-ready when we leave!

Yes, absolutely. Our Display garden - the only one in Eastern CT - shows over 400 varieties of trees, shrubs, and perennial plants. In addition, we have hardscape displays that will show you how different materials will impact your final design. We can do walkthroughs, go through our project portfolio and share photos and videos of other projects with you.
